ILL Clinton – Eternal Blue Sky

Producer & beatmaker Ill Clinton of Us Natives Records contacted me in late 2017 about creating some vector elements for his upcoming release, Eternal Blue Sky. The album was heavily inspired by Tengrism, but as a white dude, I wanted to do my best to avoid getting into problematic tropes or co-opting important religious symbols. The result was inspired by the desert: a cloud blowing across the sun, the skull of a buffalo & the scattered feathers of predatory birds.

While not a logo per se, I presented it like this to Ill Clinton, who used the designs as individual elements for a minimalist cassette layout.
