Wu-Tang Visual Discography
I made this poster for final Visualizing Information project during my course of study at the SMFA@Tufts. The brief was to create an infographic that mapped three distinct characteristics of at least 35 items — I decided to roll with the Wu since, at over 50 group & solo albums over a 30+ year career, their discography is truly nothing to fuck with.
The final poster represents the trajectories of the Wu from their debut projects in 1991 to their controversial “final” album, 2015’s Once Upon a Time in Shaolin (the $2M dollar one, which is of pretty debatable canon). I represented each of the eight original members (well, nine, if you include Cappadonna) with different colors, & their solo projects as nodes on a discrete timeline that runs down the left-hand side.
